Nexeion Inventory

The software.

GMP inventory, manufacturing and 21 CFR Part 11 quality management for dietary-supplement manufacturers. Billed per workspace, not per seat.

Operations

Inventory, warehouse and order operations on one ledger.

$329/mo

billed annually · $399/mo month-to-month · save $840/yr

5 users · 2 warehouses · 2,500 sales orders/month · unlimited SKUs

Best for: Supplement brands that hold stock, buy from qualified suppliers and ship multichannel, but co-pack their production elsewhere.

  • Product and material catalog with SKU, photos, 19 inventory classes, one-click item templates and bundle/kit SKUs
  • Live stock position reconciled by warehouse, bin, lot, batch, quality state and sales channel — including available-to-promise and quarantined quantities
  • Multi-warehouse network with bin and zone layout, weight and volume capacity limits, and directed putaway rules
  • Purchase orders with landed cost — shipping, landing, import and additional fees — allocated pro-rata into unit cost at goods receipt
  • Mobile goods receipt with partial and damaged receiving, plus GS1-128 camera scanning that auto-fills lot and expiry
  • Sales orders with hard stock reservation on approval, partial fulfillment, backorders and FEFO batch-allocated shipping
  • Shipment and packing lifecycle (draft, packed, shipped, delivered) with printable shipping labels and packing lists
  • Returns and RMA lifecycle with per-line inspection dispositions: restock, quarantine, scrap or return to supplier

Manufacturing

Add the production floor: BOMs, work orders, MRP and lot genealogy.

$699/mo

billed annually · $849/mo month-to-month · save $1,800/yr

15 users · 5 warehouses · 10,000 sales orders/month · unlimited manufacturing orders

Best for: Manufacturers blending, encapsulating, filling and bottling in-house who need true recipe-to-batch costing and recall-grade traceability.

  • Everything in Operations, plus:
  • Versioned bills of material with per-component wastage, batch yield, packaging SKU variants and one active master formula per product
  • Multi-level BOM explosion through sub-assemblies, with circular-reference detection and quantities rolled down to one finished unit
  • Manufacturing order command center as grid or Kanban, with routing operations and planned vs actual labor hours
  • One-click recipe-to-work-order build that scales every line to batch size and converts mismatched units automatically
  • One-transaction production completion: backflush components at actual yield, pick the lots consumed, credit finished goods and write cost history atomically
  • Yield variance guardrails — overruns above 110% of plan require explicit supervisor approval, and the database refuses anything above 3× plan
  • FEFO ingredient-lot consumption gated on quality: no expired, quarantined, on-hold, identity-test-pending or disqualified-supplier material can be drawn
  • Planned vs actual manufacturing cost per batch, with an honest “not fully recorded” flag instead of a misleading rolled-up total
  • Demand forecast and stock projection over an 8-week or 6-month horizon, netting scheduled PO arrivals against manufacturing draw-down
  • Lead-time-aware reorder planning with one-click draft purchase orders, plus a weekly job that drafts POs grouped by supplier
  • ABC classification from 12 months of consumption value, with automated per-class cycle-count scheduling
  • Picking waves that group multiple orders into one numbered floor run, and per-warehouse putaway suggestions
  • Forward and backward traceability, GS1-128 batch and lot label printing, and the recall simulator for mock drills

Compliance

Most chosen

The Part 11 quality system, inside the same database as your stock.

$1,295/mo

billed annually · $1,595/mo month-to-month · save $3,600/yr

40 users · unlimited warehouses · unlimited orders · unlimited manufacturing orders

Best for: FDA-registered 21 CFR 111 manufacturers facing an inspection, a GFSI/NSF audit, or a retail customer that requires signed batch records.

  • Everything in Manufacturing, plus:
  • 21 CFR Part 11 electronic-signature engine — password plus authenticator re-verified within a five-minute window, server-derived signing IP, and a signature meaning fixed by the server
  • 24 signature-gated GMP actions: batch release, QC disposition, quality-hold release, ingredient-lot release, production completion, CAPA close, deviation close, OOS close, change-control approval, recall close and more
  • Electronic batch production record with the consumed-lot table (theoretical vs actual vs variance), executed process steps, retain samples and a seven-check release readiness scorecard
  • QA release gate with server-enforced conditions — identity test, heavy metals, finished COA, supervisor sign-off, retain sample, no active hold
  • Deviations and non-conformances linked to the exact batch, lot, item or supplier, with signed closure
  • Out-of-Specification investigations with FDA-style Phase I laboratory and Phase II manufacturing phases
  • CAPA management that cannot be closed until an approved, append-only effectiveness review exists
  • Change control requiring two separate signatures — QA and Manufacturing — with the database rejecting the same person signing both
  • Product complaint handling and a signed recall lifecycle with a four-hour drill clock, plus masked consignee PII with owner-only audited unmasking
  • Controlled-document register and SOP catalog with versioned draft → effective → superseded lifecycle and a permanent signature manifest
  • Server-graded SOP training quizzes with random question subsets and shuffled answers, plus a team competency matrix
  • IQ/OQ/PQ validation protocols with append-only test-step results, tied to the change control that triggered them
  • Append-only audit trail with full before/after capture, PII redaction, a reviewer console and audited CSV export — plus the Validline 0–100 inspection-readiness score with 21 CFR 111 citations on every blocker

Enterprise

Multi-site, multi-brand, and wired into everything else you run.

Let’s talk

Quoted to your site count and seat mix

Unlimited users, workspaces, warehouses and orders

Best for: Contract manufacturers and multi-brand groups running several workspaces, plus teams that need the platform driven by their own systems or agents.

  • Everything in Compliance, plus:
  • Multi-workspace tenancy with org switching, tokenized email invites and hard row-level data separation per site, brand or contract-manufacturing client
  • Workspace consolidation that moves a user’s data across ~18 org-scoped tables when merging or restructuring
  • Platform admin console for cross-tenant user, workspace and role administration, every action confirmation-gated
  • Public REST API with self-service scoped API keys — SHA-256 hashed at rest, per-key scopes, optional expiry, revocation and last-used tracking
  • Outbound HMAC-SHA256 signed webhooks on order.shipped, lot.released, batch.released and po.received, with retry backoff and SSRF blocking
  • Staged multichannel stock-snapshot ingestion with prepare/begin/commit semantics, so a partial feed is never mistaken for a complete inventory picture
  • External supplier portal: expiring, revocable, hash-stored links that show a vendor only their own POs, lots, qualification status and COAs — no account, no seat
  • MCP server so Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client can operate the workspace under scoped keys, with physical stock movement fenced out of the agent write boundary
  • OCR document capture through your configured provider — private self-hosted processing or an explicitly approved managed vision provider
  • Workspace data export as a versioned, manifested, gzipped snapshot with a SHA-256 checksum, plus privacy and right-to-delete controls
  • The ~50-test compliance control regression suite, run in CI on every change, available as documented evidence for your own validation package
  • Named onboarding, catalog migration support and priority response

Where these numbers come from

Amazon management agencies cluster at $2,500–$5,000/mo for brands doing $1M–$20M, or 10–20% of ad spend with a $1,000–$2,500 floor. Nexeion is flat, starting at $2,450 against a $10k/mo spend minimum — inside the band at every point, and never paid more for spending more.

DTC paid media for small-to-mid brands runs $2,500–$15,000/mo or 10–20% of spend, and retention-only engagements sit at $1,500–$4,000/mo. Nexeion starts at $3,200 and $2,200 respectively, lower than full-service shops because we direct rather than produce creative.

Supplement regulatory and quality consulting runs $150–$500/hr, with quality-system build-outs at $15,000–$40,000 and compliance retainers at $2,000–$8,000/mo. Nexeion starts below those floors because the SOPs, specs and evidence trail deploy into software we already own — a real delivery-cost advantage, not a discount.

Independent business and operations consultants bill $125–$350/hr, and 30–50% below boutique firms for equivalent work — boutiques run $1,200–$2,500 a day and the large firms $2,000–$4,000. The diagnostic and the fractional retainer are priced against the independent band and sized honestly: roughly two weeks of work, and about one day a week.

This is a small, owner-led practice, not a fifty-person agency. The book is capped at a handful of active service clients so each one gets a senior operator rather than a junior pod — intake opens as slots free up.

The alternatives

What the same money buys somewhere else.

Researched against vendor pricing pages and third-party quote aggregators. Every row is a system a supplement manufacturer realistically shortlists.

Nexeion compared with seven alternative inventory, MRP, quality and ERP systems on entry price, GMP quality system and batch traceability.
SystemEntry pricePart 11 QMSBatch traceabilityWhat you give up
Nexeion Inventory$329/mo · 5 usersYesYesBoth halves in one subscription. No implementation fee, no multi-year minimum. Online-only — there is no offline mode.
Cin7 Core (formerly DEAR)$349/mo · 5 users, 6,000 orders/yrNoPartialStrong batch/lot with FEFO and real assembly BOMs, but zero Part 11 e-signatures, no batch release gate, no CAPA or deviation. Order ceilings push most DTC supplement brands to Pro at $599.
Fishbowl Advanced Manufacturingfrom $675/mo + $2,000–$30,000 implementationNoYesDeepest classic manufacturing in the SMB tier — routings, work centers, MRP, lot/serial with expiry — but no Part 11 layer and no electronic batch record. Expect a parallel eQMS or paper batch records.
Katana Cloud Inventory$299/mo Core; ~$747/mo realistic with add-onsNoYesUnlimited users and excellent commerce integrations, but the headline price nearly triples once a supplement maker adds Manufacturing and Traceability — and traceability there means recall genealogy, not GMP batch records.
MRPeasy (Enterprise tier)$99/user/mo · $495/mo at 5 usersNoYesBest manufacturing depth per dollar, with QC and an approval system — but that approval workflow is not a Part 11 signature. Per-seat pricing punishes the QA and operator headcount compliance requires.
Qualio~$12,000/yr platform + ~$3,000/user/yrYesNoThe cheapest credible standalone eQMS with Part 11, but the base includes only 1–3 edit seats, setup runs five figures, and a 3-year minimum is typical. No inventory, no batch records — you still buy and integrate a second system.
MasterControl QMS~$25,000/yr starting, scaling toward $100,000/yrYesNoThe deepest audit pedigree, and two mandatory four-figure fees on top of licenses. Reported three-year total cost of ownership lands at $150,000–$200,000.
BatchMaster ERP (Nutraceutical)$300/mo floor + $15,000–$120,000 implementationYesYesThe cheapest process ERP shipping native electronic batch records and Part 11 — but the entry ticket is a 2–5 month ERP migration, 18% annual maintenance, and a reported annual band of $85,000–$150,000.

Competitor pricing was gathered in July 2026 from published vendor pages and reported deal data. Vendors change pricing without notice — verify current figures directly before making a decision.

How we landed on these numbers

Generic SMB inventory and MRP tools cluster at $299–$999/month — Cin7 Core at $349, Katana at $299 (realistically $747 once Manufacturing and Traceability are attached), Unleashed Pro at $729, Fishbowl Advanced Manufacturing at $675 plus a mandatory implementation fee. Not one of them ships 21 CFR Part 11 e-signatures or a quality system.

A real eQMS starts at a $12,000–$25,000/year platform fee before per-seat charges and $8,000–$20,000 setup, on two- to three-year minimums — and still has no batch traceability, so the buyer funds two systems and the integration between them. Process ERPs with native batch records open at $45,000–$65,000 in implementation alone.

Nexeion is priced to sit inside the first band while covering the second. Compliance at $1,295/month is roughly 40% of a typical Qualio deal and under two-thirds of MasterControl’s entry — with no implementation fee, no multi-year minimum and no per-seat validation tax.

Questions

Answered plainly.

How do I sign up?
By email. Tell us which tier fits and we will set up your workspace and walk you through catalog import. Prices above are list; there is no online checkout, and nothing is charged from this site.
Is Nexeion FDA-approved or FDA-certified?
No, and no software is. Nexeion provides controls designed to support your 21 CFR Part 11 and Part 111 compliance program — electronic signatures, an append-only audit trail, controlled documents, batch release gating and validation protocols. You remain responsible for your own procedures, your master manufacturing records and your computer system validation. We supply the control regression evidence to make that package cheaper to assemble.
Why is the Compliance tier so much cheaper than a standalone eQMS?
Because you are not buying a second system. Qualio and MasterControl are standalone quality platforms with no inventory or batch traceability, so their price is additive to whatever ERP you already run, plus integration. Nexeion’s quality system reads the same database as your stock ledger, so there is no interface to build, validate or maintain.
Do I have to buy Compliance to get traceability?
No. Forward and backward tracing, lot genealogy, FEFO consumption and the recall simulator are in the Manufacturing tier. What Compliance adds is the signature layer, the electronic batch record, the quality workflows (deviation, OOS, CAPA, change control) and the append-only audit trail an inspector asks for.
What counts as a user?
Anyone with a login. Roles are owner, admin, QA manager, manufacturing, warehouse and read-only, and permissions are enforced in Postgres rather than hidden in the interface. If your seat count is awkward — many operators, few approvers — tell us and we will size it.
Is there an implementation fee?
No. Catalog, customer and supplier onboarding runs through the bulk CSV importer, which handles up to 100,000 rows as a recoverable background job. Enterprise engagements include named onboarding support at no separate charge.
Does it work offline on the warehouse floor?
No. Nexeion is online-only — there is no offline cache and no offline write queue, so connectivity is required. What we do provide is clear connectivity messaging and an idle-timeout auto-signout that logs the workstation out even when the network drops.
Can I get my data out?
Yes, at any time. Owners and admins can request a full workspace export delivered as a versioned, manifested, gzipped snapshot with a SHA-256 checksum and row and table counts. Filtered Excel and CSV exports, an audit-log export and a QuickBooks IIF invoice export are available throughout the product, and every export writes its own audit event.
Which tier does a contract manufacturer need?
Enterprise. Multi-workspace tenancy gives each client hard row-level separation under one login, and the supplier portal lets vendors see only their own POs, qualification status and COAs without consuming a seat.
